Mindfulness for schools

School Programs

We offer a comprehensive secular wellness curriculum for students K-12 in person or online. Our lead instructor Amber Pavey is an expert in her field as an experienced teacher with 15 years of classroom experience and additional certifications in yoga (250 hour YTT) and mindfulness (350 hour CMI).

Our programs provide evidence-based mindfulness practices, and youth yoga (optional) to help students cultivate focus, concentration, calm, improved self awareness, and emotional regulation with a focus on social emotional learning.

Lessons and activities are developmentally appropriate and based on developing sensory attention (paying attention to the breath and senses) as well as equanimity (learning to accept the thoughts and feelings of the present moment as they arise). Our programs prioritize curiosity, compassion and self-connection. All of our lessons are intended to help students improve their brain, breath and body connection.

Our school programs are customized to suit the needs of your environment, budget and timeline.

*Our instructors are Alberta Certified Teachers with specialized training in yoga & mindfulness for youth.


 

Student Meditation & Breathwork Workshops

What to expect from our mindfulness based student programs:

  • An introduction to the practice of mindfulness meditation and how it can support us with stress reduction, overwhelm, and anxiety.

  • Take-home practices for each class appropriate to their developmental needs.

  • Expert led guided meditation and breathwork practices.

  • Time for questions and inquiry.

  • Programs available for the whole school or just one class.
